WHAT IS A SENSOR ? -
A sensor is a device that produces an output signal for the purpose of sensing a physical phenomenon. In the broadest definition, a sensor is a device, module, machine, or subsystem that detects events or changes in its environment and sends the information to other electronics, frequently a computer processor. Sensors are always used with other electronics…(not completely true).
Sensors are not always electronics They can be Biosensors, Chemical Sensors, Biochemical Sensors, etc.
VERY IMPORTANT LIVING THINGS like HUMANS and LIVING-NON-HUMANS (other animals, plants, bacterias, viruses, etc) are full of sensors. Even if their complexity and a cartesian vision of the world pretends to reduce them to a set of parts (amino-acids are used to synthesize proteins), they are not machines and no electronics are involved into their ability to sens
Possible Bioreceptors : Enzymes, Cells, DNA, antibodies, etc

WHAT DO WE WANT TO SENS ? WHERE DO WE WANT TO SENS ?
OUR ENVIRONMENT ? IN THE FABLAB OR ITS CLOSEST NEIGHBOURHOOD ?
HUMANS ? INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE BODY ?
NON-HUMANS ? THEIR ENVIRONMENT ? THEIR BEHAVIOURS ?
